Savory Meatloaf Pizza and another recipe to get my husband to eat a little meat, he eats very little and rarely.
Since my children are away, I buy little meat, and the few times I cook it, I always try to incorporate it into somewhat special recipes, so that it barely feels and thus, with this excuse, I manage to get him to eat it a little.
Sometimes I envy my friends who, when they have little time, opt for a grilled steak, never at my house!
The savory meatloaf pizza is nothing more than a dough of meat, eggs, and bread like a classic meatloaf, but spread out, filled, and baked like a pizza.
I invite you to try it; it’s a simple recipe to prepare with the result of this delicious second course that tastes more like pizza than meat and will be loved by both adults and children.

Preparation for Savory Meatloaf Pizza
To prepare the meatloaf pizza, start by preparing the dough.
Take a bowl and soak the stale bread in water or milk, I used my whole grain.
Once it’s well soaked, squeeze it well and remove the excess water, add the eggs, Grana Padano, salt, oregano, and a tablespoon of tomato sauce.Mix and blend everything well, the dough should be soft but dry, if it’s too mushy add a few tablespoons of dry breadcrumbs.
Take a medium round baking pan, if you want a very thick dough, use a smaller pan, line it with parchment paper, dampened and squeezed, drizzle with a little olive oil and a sprinkle of breadcrumbs, then distribute the dough.FILLING
Spread the dough evenly as if it were a pizza, then top it with tomato sauce, a sprinkle of Grana, capers, oregano, and provola cut into pieces.
Drizzle everything with a little olive oil and proceed to cooking.COOKING
Cook the meatloaf pizza in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 15 minutes, when the provola is beautifully melted and the surface well cooked, take it out!
Slice and serve the meatloaf pizza with fresh basil leaves, if desired, you can also add slices of cooked ham or other.See also pizza with leftover bread
