BAKED SAUSAGE AND BEEF MEATBALLS

Baked sausage and beef meatballs is a tasty recipe that comes from my grandmother’s cookbook, which can be prepared as a main dish or as an appetizer. They are also perfect as finger food for aperitifs. A quick but delicious dish, who doesn’t like meatballs? The ingredients used are ground beef, sausage, potatoes, but you can also use leftover cooked meat, and it will be just as good. In this recipe, the meatballs are baked to make them a little lighter, but if you prefer, you can also fry them in a pan.

They are always well-received, soft and light thanks to the baking, even though the ingredients are substantial. Sausage and beef meatballs are also an excellent appetizer, tasty, and a bit alternative; kids will love them too, try it

Preparation of baked sausage and beef meatballs

  • We start by boiling the potatoes in plenty of salted water. Once cooked, after draining and peeling them, mash them with a potato masher. Take the sausages, remove the skin, crumble them by hand in a bowl, where you will add the beef, cheese, mashed potatoes, bread crumbs, egg, parsley, chives, salt, and pepper. Mix everything carefully, and once a well-mixed dough is obtained, let it rest in the refrigerator for about half an hour.

Remove them from the fridge and form meatballs with the dough, and roll them in bread crumbs. Once all the meatballs are prepared, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush them lightly with oil, and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 20-25 minutes. Once ready, take them out and serve

Storage of baked sausage and beef meatballs
