Seitan with Cherry Tomatoes and Basil

  • 2.6 oz seitan
  • 1 yellow onion

Steps

To prepare the seitan with cherry tomatoes and basil…

  • Take the onion, peel it, and slice it thinly, then place it in a pan with the extra-virgin olive oil and let it sauté.

  • While the onion is cooking, wash and halve the cherry tomatoes, then add them to the pan with the onion, add a little water, and cover with the lid. Cook them until they become soft; it doesn’t matter if they break apart.

  • After that, cut the seitan into cubes, add it to the cherry tomatoes, and cook it, letting the water formed during cooking evaporate and removing the lid.

  • Season with basil, salt, and pepper. Serve the seitan with cherry tomatoes and basil hot.
