Pasta with Fresh Fava Beans and Bacon
  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Preparation time: 15 Minutes
  • Cooking time: 10 Minutes
  • Cuisine: Italian

NOTES

We can add about 3.5 oz of fresh peas to give the dish an extra touch.

Fava beans are very delicate; they keep in the fridge for two or three days after which they turn black and spoil. A good idea is to store them cleaned and frozen, either raw or blanched for a few minutes. Place them in freezer bags and when we need them, we’ll have the fava beans ready to cook.

How to recognize fresh fava beans?

Fava beans, unlike peas, spoil quickly.
