Ingredients for Salmon Puff Pastries

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (rectangular)
  • 5.3 oz smoked salmon (sliced)
  • 3.2 oz cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • as needed poppy seeds

Preparation of Salmon Puff Pastries

  • Chop the salmon with a knife, place it in a bowl, add the cream cheese and mix with a spoon until you get a homogeneous mixture.

  • Unroll the puff pastry on the work surface, cut it in half lengthwise with a knife to obtain two rectangular strips.

  • Put the mixture on the puff pastry strips (half on each strip), spread it with a spoon and fold the strips over themselves, pressing and sealing the edges well.

  • Cut 6 pastries from each strip, make 2 cuts on top of each pastry, then place them on a baking tray with parchment paper.

  • Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over each pastry, sprinkle with poppy seeds.

  • Preheat the oven to 428°F and once hot, bake the salmon puff pastries, cook for 20 minutes, once cooked, remove from the oven! You can serve these pastries hot or cold!
