Ingredients for the preparation of the 5-minute apple and almond cake

  • 3 apples
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 3 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp orange marmalade
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Half packet baking powder
  • 1/4 cup apricot jam
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 eggs

Steps for the preparation of the 5-minute apple and almond cake

  • First, clean the apples, remove the core, and slice them. Add the lemon juice, mix, and set aside.

  • Break the eggs and whisk them with the sugar using a hand whisk. Gradually add the milk and oil, the sifted flour and baking powder, salt, and the teaspoon of orange marmalade. Mix and pour the batter into a pan lined with parchment paper.

  • Spread the apricot jam over the cake, then add the apple slices, cinnamon, and sliced almonds. Finish with some granulated sugar and bake at 350°F, static, for 35-40 minutes. Let cool, dust with powdered sugar, and serve the cake cut into squares.

Storage

You can store the cake for two or three days under a glass dome.
