Puff pastry apple donuts are an easy and quick dessert to prepare at the last minute. You will need just a few essential ingredients: puff pastry, apples of your choice, cinnamon, and brown sugar.

Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 2 apples (large)
- 0.8 oz brown sugar
- 1 egg
- to taste ground cinnamon
- to taste powdered sugar

Steps
Start by unrolling the puff pastry, then cut strips about 1.18 inches wide and set aside.
At this point peel the apples and use the apple corer to remove the core.
Then slice and wrap a strip around the apple slice, as shown in the picture.
Place the donuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush with the egg and sprinkle the surface with cinnamon and brown sugar.
Bake in a static oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden. As a final step, garnish with powdered sugar.
Storage
The donuts can be stored under a cake dome until the next day.
