Cannellini Hummus

The cannellini hummus is a delicious cream with a delicate taste, perfect to enjoy with an aperitif or as an appetizer served with flatbread wedges, naan bread or pita bread. And if you add falafel, you’re all set! The recipe is a perfectly balanced mix of chickpeas and beans that gives this sauce a perfect thick consistency. Ingredients

  • 5.3 oz canned chickpeas (drained and peeled)
  • 8.8 oz canned cannellini beans (drained)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tbsps white tahini
  • 3 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • to taste smoked paprika (for garnish)
  • to taste mixed seeds (for garnish)

Steps

  • Place all ingredients (except smoked paprika and seeds) into the blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Transfer to a serving bowl. Mix the paprika with a teaspoon of oil to make a sauce and decorate the dish as desired. Add seeds if desired and serve at the table. If you like, you can also use fresh chopped parsley for garnish.
