We are approaching the start of the school year, and what better occasion to try and prepare these wonderful simple and genuine cupcakes to put in our kids’ backpacks.
For the preparation of these cupcakes, I used the 8 semi-sphere portion mold from the Happyflex company. It’s a very pure food-grade silicone mold for oven and freezer use.

Ingredients for Cocoa Cupcakes with White Chocolate Heart
- 3/4 cup All-purpose flour
- 7 tbsp Sugar
- 4 tbsp Butter
- 1/3 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 1/2 tbsp Milk
- 2 Eggs
- 1 packet Baking powder
- to taste White chocolate
- 1 Happyflex silicone semi-spheres
- to taste Powdered sugar

Preparation for Cocoa Cupcakes with White Chocolate Heart
In a stand mixer or a bowl using an electric beater, mix the eggs with the sugar, then incorporate the unsweetened cocoa and the softened butter, work for a few minutes with the whisks then add the sifted flour and baking powder.
The batter should be soft, smooth, and homogeneous.
Brush the silicone semi-spheres with butter and fill them a little more than halfway with the prepared mixture, add a nice piece of white chocolate in the center of each mold, cover with more batter leveling the surface well with the back of a spoon.Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the cupcakes for about 18/20 minutes in a fan oven.
If you use the traditional method, cook a few minutes longer!
Baking time always depends on the power of your oven.After baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool before flipping them over.
Once the cocoa cupcakes with white chocolate heart have cooled, if desired, dust them with plenty of powdered sugar, using a star-shaped or other decorative template.
