The uniqueness of the broccoli casserole, besides its deliciousness in simplicity of preparation, is given by the accompanying sauce, a delicious and very fast Parmesan cheese fondue, prepared with only 2 ingredients, fresh cream and Parmesan cheese. The preparation of the casserole also involves few and simple ingredients, boiled broccoli and potatoes, mashed and mixed together with a bit of salt, nothing simpler and at the same time tasty thanks to the good taste of broccoli.

- 18 oz broccoli
- 1.5 lbs potatoes

Steps to Prepare Broccoli and Potato Casserole with Parmesan Cheese Fondue
Put a pot of water on the stove to boil for cooking the broccoli. Meanwhile, wash and cut them into florets. As soon as the water boils, start cooking. Drain when done.
In a bowl, place the washed potatoes, cover them with plastic wrap, and cook for 7 minutes at 1200 watts in the microwave, or peel, cut into chunks, and cook in boiling water for about 15 minutes. Once ready, mash with a potato masher.
Mash the broccoli with a fork, add them to the potatoes, add salt and pepper or, if you like, some dried or fresh chili pepper, and mix.
Grease a 20 cm mold with butter and breadcrumbs, and pour all the contents into the mold. Level it with a spoon. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 200°C (392°F) fan or in the air fryer for 6 minutes at 180°C (356°F).
Meanwhile, prepare the Parmesan cheese fondue, which should be served hot, so prepare it at the last moment. In a small pot, put the cream with the Parmesan cheese and bring to a heat on low, until the cheese is completely melted.
