Steps to Make Perfect Baked Gratinated Squid Rings
Rinse the squid rings (whether fresh or thawed) under running water for a few minutes, then drain them well.
Place the squid rings in a bowl and season them with 1 tablespoon of oil, mix well.
In another small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, chopped basil, parsley, and rosemary, add a pinch of salt, and mix well.
Pour the aromatic breadcrumbs into the bowl with the squid rings and mix well, so that the coating adheres perfectly to the rings.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, spread the coated squid rings on top (make sure they are quite separated), and drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil.
Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F and cook for 15 minutes, and voilà, the baked gratinated squid rings are ready to be enjoyed!
If you like, before serving, garnish with lime slices that you can then squeeze over the squid rings, you’ll notice the fantastic aroma that is released!
