Pasta with mushrooms, speck, and cream is a fall main dish 🙂
In these days of bad weather, I crave more flavorful dishes than usual, and since it’s mushroom season, I bought some to use as a pasta topping.
In addition to the mushrooms, I added some chopped slices of speck and some cream.
Usually, I use little cream, but since I had bought some to make a dessert, I wanted to use the remaining in this main dish.
Pasta with mushrooms, speck, and cream is a creamy main dish that I really liked because it filled me up without being too heavy 😉
It’s ideal to serve even if you have guests for lunch or dinner 😀
For pasta, I used mezze maniche because I think it’s a type of pasta suitable for this kind of sauce, but you can also use penne, tortiglioni, or spaghetti.
Instead of porcini mushrooms, you can use champignon mushrooms.

Ingredients for Pasta with Mushrooms, Speck, and Cream
- 11 oz mezze maniche rigate
- 12 oz porcini mushrooms
- 1 clove garlic
- 7 oz speck
- 0.8 cup fresh cream
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
Steps for Pasta with Mushrooms, Speck, and Cream
Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth, trying to remove the dirt, and use a small knife to remove the soil.
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta.
In a large pan, sauté the oil with the garlic clove.
After a few minutes, add the sliced mushrooms and chopped speck and cook for about 10 minutes.
Add the cream, stirring with a spoon.
Pour in the pasta, add salt, and stir again.
Turn off the heat and serve immediately.
