Whole wheat pasta with shrimp is a tasty and succulent seafood dish.
I used:
• shrimp tails that you can replace with prawns or large shrimp according to availability and taste;
• simple homemade tomato sauce;
to achieve a delicious shrimp sauce, and finally [optional]:
• a sprinkle of whole wheat breadcrumbs [don’t forget to account for it in the total carbohydrate count of your meal].
Briefly, it should be remembered that they are crustaceans with low triglyceride content but high cholesterol content, and they also contain a small portion of available carbohydrates, which is why they are not suitable for all diets.
This applies to all species of shrimps [from large shrimp to prawns].
In my husband’s meal plan, shrimps are present and classified as foods to be consumed occasionally.
Whole wheat pasta with shrimp is a single dish as it combines the characteristics of a balanced meal in a single course.
