Storage
You can store the gratinated sprouts for a maximum of one day in the refrigerator, sealed in an airtight container.
Tips
– To prepare the recipe, among other ingredients, you need béchamel sauce. If you’re short on time, you can use ready-made béchamel sauce. But if you have time, prepare it while you blanch the sprouts, it takes very little time and you’ll notice the difference. I used 1 1/2 tbsps of butter, 1 1/2 tbsps of flour, and 7 oz of warm milk. Procedure here
– You can customize the recipe with your preferred ingredients. For example, you can replace the cooked ham with another deli meat and add cheese cubes like scamorza, mozzarella, or fontina.
– For a vegetarian version, do not add deli meat, but enrich your dish with aromatic herbs.
