- 5 oz cherry mozzarella balls
- to taste fresh basil
- to taste fresh mint
- to taste pink peppercorns
- to taste extra virgin olive oil

Steps
Drain the mozzarella balls from their liquid, letting them drain well in a colander. Transfer them into a glass jar with a lid, then add some mint leaves, two fresh basil leaves cut into strips, and pink peppercorns to taste. Then cover the mozzarella balls with extra virgin olive oil (choose one with a delicate flavor), close the jar with its lid, and place it in the refrigerator for six hours. After the resting time, the mozzarella balls are ready to be used as desired.
Storage and Tips
The marinated mozzarella balls do not keep for long: they should be kept in the fridge for a maximum of one day. You can prepare them the day before to consume them the next day, but they should not be kept longer.
You can also prepare the marinated mozzarella balls with different spices and herbs according to your taste: they are also excellent with chili (if you like a bit of spice), oregano, and thyme.
