Slow Cooked Ribs in Barbecue Sauce

Slow cooked ribs in barbecue sauce at low temperature, for incredibly tender and juicy ribs, with a 2-hour pre-cooking at low temperature, vacuum-sealed with the INKBIRD sous vide. A professional cooking method that allows you to achieve excellent results just like the best restaurants, even at home. The sous vide is energy efficient, allowing you to cook effortlessly, as once the vacuum-sealed bag is prepared, you can start the cooking program, and it will automatically turn off at the end. This way, we avoid the long oven cooking that consumes much more energy. Once ready, we grill the ribs to give them the classic roasted meat appearance, and with the barbecue sauce, they’ll be even tastier, smoky, flavorful, incredibly tender, and juicy. Ingredients for Ribs in Barbecue Sauce

  • 1.76 lbs pork ribs
  • 1 clove garlic
  • to taste black pepper
  • to taste oregano
  • to taste fennel seeds
  • 1 tbsp acacia honey
  • 3 tbsps ketchup
  • salt

Tools for Preparing Ribs in Barbecue Sauce

  • 1 Sous Vide
  • 1 Pot
  • 1 Grill
  • 1 Vacuum Sealer
  • 1 Vacuum Bag
  • 1 Spoon
  • 1 Plate

Steps for Preparing Ribs in Barbecue Sauce

  • Prepare the meat. Season with sliced garlic, black pepper, oregano, and fennel seeds. Seal in a vacuum bag using the appropriate vacuum sealer.

  • At this point, place it in a container, a pot is fine, filled 2/3 with water, and place the bag inside. Attach the sous vide with the appropriate clip, securing it to the edge of the pot and start the cooking program, at 140°F for 2 hours. The countdown will start when the temperature of 140°F is reached. I used my Inkbird sous vide.

  • Once the meat is ready, we cool it rapidly with ice water if not used immediately, but if we proceed, open the bag and cook now on the grill, 7 minutes per side, on the Weber barbecue with lid.

  • Remove from the heat and brush with the barbecue sauce prepared with honey, salt, and ketchup, place back on the grill for a couple of minutes.

  • After 2 minutes, we can serve our ribs cooked with the sous vide, incredibly tender and succulent.
