French Fries in Deep Fryer

I love french fries and ever since I got my De’Longhi F28311.W1 RotoFry deep fryer, I often make them. They’re as good as those from the best pizzerias or fast food places, crispy and golden, and now I only love the ones I make with my deep fryer; they’re really delicious. In fact, every time someone visits, they ask for a portion of fries as if we were at a fast food, but I enjoy making and sharing them. The fryer does all the work: I add oil, heat it, and toss in the fries, and in a few minutes, they’re ready. I make them to fill my favorite sandwich, kebab, or Greek pita gyros, just too good. Here are many other delicious recipes you can prepare in the fryer.

Ingredients for French Fries in Deep Fryer

  • 14 oz french fries (frozen)
  • as required sunflower oil
  • as required salt

Tools

  • 1 Deep Fryer
  • 1 Plate
  • 1 Paper Towels

Steps to Make French Fries in Deep Fryer

  • Fill the fryer basket, I use my De’Longhi rotary, or a pot with plenty of seed oil and bring it to 375°F.

  • When the oil reaches temperature, place the fries in the basket, set the basket without lowering it, cover with a lid, and then let the basket drop into the hot oil. This way, we avoid splashes of hot oil.

  • Cook for a few minutes until the fries are completely golden. The time varies depending on the fries used; even frozen ones have different times depending on how they’re made, but generally, they’re ready in 5 minutes. If we increase the quantity, it might take a few more minutes. Some fryers have a capacity of 2.2 lbs, but the cooking times are almost double, so sometimes it might be better to cook half at a time.

  • When the fries are golden, drain them, dry on paper towels, and season with salt. Ready to enjoy, what do you prefer, ketchup or mayonnaise? I served them with a delicious garlic sauce. I sautéed some garlic and blended it with a bit of ketchup to which I also added mayonnaise for a complete taste.

  • If we want to use classic potatoes, peel, wash, cut them into slices similar to frozen ones, and soak them in salted water. Drain well then fry in the fryer at 300°F for about 5 minutes, remove from oil, and refry at 355°F until golden and crispy. Season with salt after drying on paper towels.

  • Fries can be kept warm in the oven at a low temperature, but I recommend making them right before serving; they’ll be delicious and crispy thanks to the De’Longhi.
