Tuna and Potato Patties in a Pan and Air Fryer, tasty and quick, they are really great! Perfect as a main dish, but also as finger food at a buffet.
I found the recipe in a cooking magazine and decided to try it out immediately. My kids love meatballs in all forms, and I must say they really liked this version too.
The process is very simple: after mashing the boiled potatoes, I mixed them with egg white and tuna, previously chopped together with parsley and the juice of half a lemon.
I formed balls that I flattened with my hands and coated them in breadcrumbs. Finally, I cooked 5 in a pan with a little olive oil and 4 in the air fryer. The result is good in both cases. Slightly drier on the outside for those made in the air fryer, but barely noticeable: my kids couldn’t even tell the difference. Repeatable both ways.
But now let’s see how to make the recipe for the Tuna and Potato Patties in a Pan and Air Fryer. Prepare the ingredients, and let’s start.

Preparation of Tuna and Potato Patties in a Pan and Air Fryer
Making Tuna and Potato Patties is very simple.
First, boil the potatoes in water. To make it quicker, put them in the pressure cooker with the skin on, cover them with 2 cups of water, and cook for 12 minutes from the start of the whistle.
Once cooked, peel them and mash them while still hot with the potato masher.
Place the drained tuna in the food processor together with the bread. Add a bunch of parsley and the juice of half a lemon and start blending.
Add the obtained mixture to the bowl with the mashed potatoes. Lastly, add the egg white and adjust the salt and pepper.
Mix well and form balls weighing about 1.5 oz each.
Slightly flatten them with the palm of your hand and coat them in breadcrumbs.
At this point, they are ready for cooking. I will cook 5 in a pan and 4 in the air fryer.
Pour a little olive oil in a non-stick pan and heat it up.
Place the patties in and brown them for a few minutes on both sides.
Drain them on a paper towel and serve with lemon wedges.
Here are the Tuna and Potato Patties ready.
Place the breaded patties in the air fryer basket.
Set the temperature to 356°F and cook the patties for a few minutes.
They should be well browned.
Place on a plate and serve.
Here are the patties ready. On the left are the ones cooked in the air fryer, and on the right are those fried in the pan.
Enjoy your meal and … until the next recipe!
