Ingredients for Chocolate and Cereal Bars
Only two ingredients
- 7 oz chocolate (dark milk)
- 7 oz puffed rice (or cereals)
What You Need to Make Chocolate and Cereal Bars
- 1 Baking Dish baking dish
- 1 Parchment Paper parchment paper
- 1 Spatula spatula
Procedure for Chocolate and Cereal Bars
Melt the Chocolate:
Break the leftover chocolate and melt it bain-marie or in the microwave. If using the microwave, set it at medium power and stir every 30 seconds to prevent burning. Once well melted, transfer it into a large bowl, which will also be used for the next steps.
Add the Cereals:
Add the puffed rice or light cereals directly into the bowl with the melted chocolate. Mix thoroughly until well combined, ensuring each grain is coated with chocolate.
Transfer to the Baking Dish:
Prepare a baking dish lined with parchment paper and pour the warm mixture into it. Using a spatula or the back of a spoon, level it well to obtain a compact and uniform layer.
Let it Cool:
Let the mix rest at room temperature until completely solidified. If in a hurry, you can place it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
Cut and Serve:
Once the mixture is solid, remove it from the baking dish and cut into rectangles or squares, depending on the desired size.
