Preparation

Beat the egg yolks with the sugar, then add the cornstarch. Boil the milk with the vanilla bean, strain it and pour it into the mixture. Bring everything to a boil until large bubbles appear. Lower the heat and cook until the custard is thick.
Roll out a disk of dough 2 inches larger than the pan, wrap it around the rolling pin. Unroll the dough over the pan, press the dough on the bottom, previously buttered, remove excess dough, prick the bottom of the shortcrust pastry with a fork, bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes. Let cool. Fill the pie with custard, cover with sliced strawberries as you see in the picture, sprinkle with powdered sugar
