The ham delights are an elegant appetizer, perfect for impressing your guests.
Their composition combines sweet and savory flavors in a sophisticated balance, with an attractive presentation that makes them ideal for special occasions.
Each delight is made from a slice of prosciutto, delicately placed in a muffin tin or small mold, creating a crispy and savory base once slightly baked in the oven
The filling is a velvety cream made from cream cheese, enriched with chopped chives, adding freshness and a slightly tangy note.
Completing the filling is a touch of fresh pear, sliced, to add sweetness and crunch.
A drop of balsamic vinegar reduction is added to the center of the filling, providing acidity that enhances the overall taste of the dish.
Everything is garnished with a fresh basil leaf, which not only adds a touch of color but enriches the aromatic bouquet.
A perfect appetizer to present at dinner with friends or during festive lunches.

Steps for preparing the ham delights
For a perfect preparation WATCH THE VIDEO RECIPE
To prepare the delicious ham delights, get a muffin tin
Fold each slice of prosciutto in three, as in the video, and place them on each muffin tin to create a shell.
Bake at 392°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes in an air fryer or in a static oven at 392°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes until crispy.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, add the cream cheese and finely chopped chives and mix well
Let the prosciutto baskets cool completely and fill them with the help of a piping bag with the cheese and chive filling.
Cut half a pear into thin, crescent moon slices, and add them to the filling along with a fresh basil leaf.
Drizzle with a few drops of balsamic vinegar and the prosciutto baskets are ready to be served…
Enjoy your tasting from Barbara!
Storage and Tips
I recommend buying the least salty prosciutto available.
Store in the fridge for 2 days in an airtight container
If the baskets are already assembled, avoid adding the balsamic vinegar reduction and basil. Add them only when serving to prevent the baskets from becoming soggy and losing their texture.
