Interesting Facts

The cherry growing area of Raiano and Giuliano Teatino encompasses the territory of Chieti and L’Aquila. The cherries are obtained from the cultivation of different varieties of sweet cherry trees. In the area of Giuliano Teatino, cherries were grown for the confectionery industry, while those from Raiano were reserved for fresh consumption.
