Ingredients for Nutella Puff Pastries

  • 1 roll puff pastry (rectangular)
  • 8.8 oz Nutella®
  • 3 tablespoons milk (for brushing)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar (for decoration)
  • to taste powdered sugar (for decoration)

How to prepare Puff Pastry and Nutella Swirls

  • Roll out the rectangular puff pastry sheet on the work surface and cut it in half. Spread half of the puff pastry with Nutella in a thin layer using a spatula.

  • Cover with the other half of the puff pastry and gently press to make it adhere. Now, with the help of a wheel or simply a knife, cut strips about 1.5-2 cm wide.

  • Roll a strip onto itself and then starting from the center, twist to form puff pastry spirals with Nutella. Prepare them all the same way.

  • Place the Nutella Swirls slightly apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush them with milk and decorate with granulated sugar.

  • Bake the Puff Pastries with Nutella in the static hot oven at 374°F for 18-20 minutes. Let them cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar to taste.

Loredana’s Tips

Puff Pastry Swirls don’t keep for long because puff pastry tends to soften. But if you have leftovers, you can freeze them or warm them in the oven for a few minutes to make them crispy like they just came out.
