Ingredients for homemade nocino liqueur:

  • 1 cup pure alcohol
  • 7 walnuts (Green walnut hulls)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • lemon peel

Steps

The preparation of homemade nocino liqueur is very simple and quick, watch the video HERE.

  • First, we need to wash and chop the walnut hulls (I recommend using gloves for this step to avoid staining your hands). Place them in a sealable glass jar. Add alcohol and lemon peel. Seal tightly and let macerate for about 40 days.

  • Shake the jar every day. After about 40 days, put the water and sugar in a saucepan and heat to dissolve the sugar, then let it cool.

  • In the meantime, strain the alcohol from the walnuts and combine it with the cold syrup. Pour it into sterilized glass bottles. Let it rest for about a week before enjoying.

  • Enjoy!
