Ingredients for Whole Wheat Fig Cake:

  • 10.5 oz figs (Fresh)
  • 2.8 oz sugar
  • Half lemon
  • 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup plant milk
  • 2.1 oz potato starch
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Steps

  • In a pan, place the cleaned and sliced figs, the juice of half a lemon, the sugar, and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once it reaches a dense consistency, turn off the heat and let it cool.

  • Cake preparation:

    In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and baking soda. Add the oil and plant milk

  • and mix. Add the potato starch and blend. Pour the obtained mixture into a mold of your choice. Add the previously prepared fig mixture on top.

  • Bake at 356°F for about 40 minutes.
