Wash the oranges. Grate the zest of one orange. Then squeeze the oranges to obtain the juice, for this recipe you need about 1/2 cup of orange juice.
Beat the 2 whole eggs with the sugar, preferably with the help of an electric mixer, for 6-7 minutes until you have a light and fluffy mixture.
Add the vegetable oil, the orange zest, and about 1/2 cup of red orange juice.
Continue the preparation by adding the sifted flour and baking powder. Mix.
Pour the batter into an 8-inch diameter springform pan, greased or lined with parchment paper.
Bake the Red Orange Cake in a preheated oven at 350°F in static mode for 35-40 minutes. Always perform the toothpick test to check the cooking even inside the cake.
Let the cake cool before transferring it to a plate and decorate it as desired with some powdered sugar.
