Ingredients for the Red Orange Cake

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup g sugar
  • 2 blood oranges (untreated)
  • 1 1/2 cups g flour
  • 3 1/2 tbsps ml vegetable oil
  • 1/2 packet baking powder (8 grams)
  • as needed powdered sugar (for decorating)

How to prepare the Red Orange Cake

  • Wash the oranges. Grate the zest of one orange. Then squeeze the oranges to obtain the juice, for this recipe you need about 1/2 cup of orange juice.

  • Beat the 2 whole eggs with the sugar, preferably with the help of an electric mixer, for 6-7 minutes until you have a light and fluffy mixture.

  • Add the vegetable oil, the orange zest, and about 1/2 cup of red orange juice.

  • Continue the preparation by adding the sifted flour and baking powder. Mix.

  • Pour the batter into an 8-inch diameter springform pan, greased or lined with parchment paper.

  • Bake the Red Orange Cake in a preheated oven at 350°F in static mode for 35-40 minutes. Always perform the toothpick test to check the cooking even inside the cake.

  • Let the cake cool before transferring it to a plate and decorate it as desired with some powdered sugar.
