Ingredients

  • 1 roll puff pastry (round with whole wheat flour)
  • 3.5 oz stracchino
  • 8.8 oz spinach, cooked, boiled
  • 1.8 oz Parmigiano Reggiano DOP
  • 2 Eggs
  • 0.4 cup cooking cream
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

To make the Savory Pie with Spinach and Stracchino you will need:

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Baking Pan

Preparation

  • Take the puff pastry and unroll it. Leave it for a few minutes at room temperature and then place it in a mold along with its parchment paper.

  • Preheat the oven to 392°F, using the ventilated mode.

  • In a large bowl, carefully mix the beaten eggs, the light cream, salt, and pepper.

  • Incorporate the Parmigiano

  • then, the cooked spinach, coarsely chopped with a knife

  • and the stracchino in pieces.

  • Take the mold with the puff pastry and, using the prongs of a fork, prick the surface. Fill with the spinach and stracchino filling and bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until it is nicely golden.

  • Serve it hot or warm.

Storage

If you want, you can also add diced ham or bacon to the mixture and for a stronger flavor, replace the stracchino with diced gorgonzola. It’s up to you!
