Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 4.23 oz sugar
- 2.82 oz all-purpose flour
- 1.41 oz dark chocolate chips
- 3 tablespoons Nutella®
How to make the Nutella Cookie Roll
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar. Use an electric mixer until they are nice and fluffy.
At this point, add the sifted flour in several additions. Mix very gently with a spatula, making circular motions from bottom to top.
Pour the mixture into a 12×16-inch pan lined with parchment paper. Garnish with dark chocolate chips.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 374°F for 12 minutes. The surface should be slightly golden. After baking, immediately remove the sponge cake from the pan and peel off the old sheet of parchment paper.
Flip it onto a new sheet of paper and fill with Nutella.
Roll it up and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
Storage and variations of the Nutella Cookie Roll
It can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days covered with plastic wrap. For a crunchy touch, you can add crunchy crumble. Instead of Nutella, you can use pastry cream or whipped cream.
