A soft cake, very tender and moist inside due to the presence of fruit. I would say that strawberries and apples go together perfectly and the result is an irresistible cake! Ingredients for the Strawberry and Apple Cake
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup g sugar
- 3 1/2 tbsps g butter (melted)
- 1 cup plain natural yogurt (125 grams)
- 1 1/2 cups g flour
- 1 lb g strawberries
- 2 apples
- 1/2 lemon zest (untreated)
- 1/2 packet baking powder (8 grams)
- as needed powdered sugar (for decorating)

How to prepare the Strawberry and Apple Cake
Wash the strawberries, clean them, and cut them into cubes. Peel the apples, clean them, and cut one into small cubes and the other into thin slices. Beat the eggs with the sugar with the help of a mixer until you have a light and fluffy mixture.
Add the melted butter and a jar of plain yogurt. Mix. Continue the preparation by adding the grated zest of half an untreated lemon, the sifted flour, and the baking powder. Mix.
Now add the apple cubes and 2/3 of the strawberries to the dough. Simply mix the dough with a spatula to incorporate the fruit into the dough.
Line a rectangular pan, mine measures 22 x 28 cm, with parchment paper or, if you prefer, just oil it. Pour the dough into the pan and level it with the spatula.
Insert the apple slices on the surface, letting them slightly sink into the dough. Then distribute the remaining strawberries. Bake the Strawberry and Apple Cake in a preheated oven at 356°F (180°C) in static mode for 35-40 minutes.
Always do the toothpick test to check the doneness of the cake even inside. Let the Cake cool before turning it out onto a plate or tray and sprinkle it as desired with some powdered sugar.
