Phyllo dough rolls with apples and raisins, a delicious and special treat. Phyllo dough was a recent discovery for me, also thanks to the Turkish series that are now so popular. The first thing I prepared was the classic Turkish Borek with feta and spinach. Today, however, I want to tell you how I made a delicious treat. Thin sheets of phyllo dough filled with many apple cubes, raisins, and walnut kernels, all delightfully scented with cinnamon. A treat that is prepared in just a few minutes, deliciously crispy rolls on the outside with a fragrant and special filling. Just imagine how good these treats are! And if you don’t like phyllo dough or can’t find it, you can replace it with puff pastry or shortcrust pastry. So let’s run into the kitchen and prepare the Rolls with apples together

Ingredients for Apple Puff Pastries
- 6 sheets phyllo dough
- 1.3 lbs apples
- 1.8 oz raisins
- 0.3 cups sugar
- 1.4 oz walnut kernels
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (for decoration)
- to taste powdered sugar (for decoration)
How to Prepare Sweet Rolls with Apples and Raisins
Peel the apples, clean them, and cut them into very small cubes. Put the apples in a saucepan, add the granulated sugar and raisins. Let the apples cook for 7-8 minutes on low heat, stirring them often with a wooden spoon. Let them cool.
Add the cinnamon and small pieces of walnut kernels to the apples. Mix. Spread 3 sheets of phyllo dough on the work surface. Brush them with milk. Overlap another sheet on each and brush again with milk.
Distribute the apple filling along the longer side of each sheet. Then gently roll to form 3 filled dough rolls. Cut rolls about 2-3 inches in length. As you prepare them, place them slightly spaced on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Brush them with milk and decorate with brown sugar. Bake the Phyllo Dough Rolls with Apples in a preheated oven at 375°F in static mode for 18-20 minutes. Let them cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar as desired.
