Sweet half-moons with nutella a delicious and wonderful dessert. The recipe I want to share with you today is that of sweet fritters filled with nutella that are simple to make and delicious. A light and crumbly dough with the famous hazelnut cream filling. I fried my sweet ravioli but if you prefer a lighter cooking method, you can bake them, and they will be equally special. And if you don’t like nutella, you can choose to fill them with jam or custard. I recommend you also try my Cakes with cream and sour cherries. Let’s head to the kitchen and prepare the fried sweet ravioli together

How to prepare sweet half-moons with nutella
You can prepare the puff pastry dough by hand or with the help of a mixer. Pour the flour, sugar, packet of vanillin, and a pinch of salt into a bowl. Then add the melted butter and the eggs.
Mix first with a fork and then with your hands. You should obtain a soft but not sticky dough. If necessary, add a little more flour or, if the dough is too dry, a few tablespoons of milk. Form a loaf, wrap it in plastic wrap, and let it solidify in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Take the dough and divide it into 6-7 parts. Now, with the help of a pasta machine, form many very thin sheets. Proceed from a wider setting to an increasingly thinner setting. Work the dough: roll it out, fold it, and roll it out again 5-6 times, then roll it into a very thin sheet.
Using ravioli molds or simply a glass, cut out many discs from the dough and place a teaspoon of nutella in the center. Brush around the edges and fold the dough to form a small half-moon. Prepare them all in the same way, re-rolling even the dough scraps.
Heat plenty of seed oil in a frying pan or a small, deep saucepan. Dip the Half-Moons in the hot seed oil a few at a time and let them brown on all sides. Remove them with a slotted spoon and let them dry on paper towels. Let them cool and sprinkle them abundantly with powdered sugar as desired.

Loredana’s Tips
If you prefer not to fry, you can bake them in the oven. Place them slightly apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them bake in a preheated oven at 356°F in convection mode for 16-18 minutes
