For the base, I simply used dry biscuits soaked in milk, but if you prefer, you can use ladyfingers or even a slice of sponge cake; and you can also soak them with limoncello or rum if you prefer a slightly alcoholic base. Ingredients for the Sweet Ricotta Cream
- 8 oz ricotta
- 1 jar plain yogurt
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup candied fruits (mixed)
- 2 oz dry biscuits
- 1/4 cup milk
- 4 candied cherries (for decoration)
- 4 sticks candied citron (for decoration)
How to prepare Sweet Ricotta and Chocolate Cream
Pour the ricotta into a bowl. Add a jar of plain yogurt and the sugar, and mix well. Also add the chocolate chips and the mixed candied fruits in small pieces and mix well with a spatula.
Roughly break the dry biscuits and distribute them on the bottom of 4 glasses or cups. Soak them with milk.
Distribute the Ricotta and Chocolate Cream in the glasses. Decorate with a candied cherry and a piece of candied citron. Keep the Ricotta Cream Cups in the fridge until serving.
