Christmas canapés perfect for the Holiday appetizer. How beautiful is the Christmas atmosphere that fills my home these days. There are about 40 days left, but I have to play in advance to leave you with simple and fancy ideas to enrich your Holiday table and wow relatives and friends. Today I want to tell you how I prepared some Christmas Balls in a special savory version. Practically a kind of deconstructed canapé turned into many small balls. For a special Christmas touch, I removed the small metal hooks from the Christmas tree balls, washed them thoroughly, and inserted them into my Canapé Balls with a small ribbon, making them perfect! They are a perfect Christmas appetizer that will surely win everyone over, and they are delicious in their simplicity. I recommend you also read the recipe of my Savory Christmas Log. You can prepare them in advance, which is perfect during these busy days, and you can also have the kids at home help, who will enjoy it. Ingredients for the Christmas Canapés
- 6 slices white bread
- 7 oz cream cheese
- 3 oz canned tuna in oil
- 4 oz pickled vegetables
How to prepare the Fancy Christmas Canapés
Remove the darker edges from the slices of white bread. Crumble it into a bowl simply with your hands. Add the cream cheese, like Philadelphia. Drain the oil from a can of tuna and add it to the mixture.
Cut the pickled vegetables into very small pieces and add them to the mixture. Mix with a fork. If the mixture is too hard, add 2 tablespoons of milk. With slightly dampened hands, form small balls of the same size.
As you prepare them, place them on a serving dish. Let them firm up for at least 30 minutes in the fridge. They are already pretty as is, but if you want to present them in an even more Christmassy way, do as I did and place small hooks taken from your Christmas balls with a little ribbon on top.
See you tomorrow with a new recipe, a hug, Loredana
