You usually find it during Christmas markets in South Tyrol, Austria, or Germany, but it’s so easy to make that we can also prepare it at home. How to Make Mulled Apple
The Apple Mulled or Mulled Apple is very quick to prepare. First, take a saucepan and pour the apple juice into it. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon and half an orange and add it to the juice, along with the zest, cinnamon, and cloves.
Turn on the heat and bring to a boil on not too high a flame. Let it simmer for about ten minutes. Then turn off the heat, add the honey, and mix everything. Now, using a strainer, transfer our drink into a pitcher. Serve immediately!
We can also prepare the alcoholic version. Just add some grappa or rum to your glass.
Notes
We can use half a liter of water and half a liter of apple juice
Instead of honey, sugar can be used
If you like, you can add star anise, ginger, or cardamom (according to your taste)
If not consumed immediately, we can keep it in the fridge for up to two weeks, and when you want to consume it, just heat it in a small pot.
