APPLE CAKE WITH JAM the best you’ve ever tasted

Apple cake with jam soft and delicious. Nothing fills the house with its delightful scent like an apple cake. Among all the desserts I prepare, you know that my favorites are soft pantry sweets, tender and delicious, especially with added fruit, just like apple cakes which are always my favorites. The recipe I want to tell you about today is an incredibly soft and tender soft apple cake to which I added many teaspoons of apricot jam before baking, making it moist and special. A perfect and delicious breakfast cake that disappeared in no time at my house, perfect for breakfast with a cup of milk or tea, but also a great snack for the little ones and not only. You will always find the right time to treat yourself and your family to a slice of apple cake with apricot jam. For the cake pan, I used a rectangular mold, but with the same quantities, a round mold of 9.5 inches in diameter works just fine. So, have I convinced you to try it? Let’s run to the kitchen and prepare the soft apple cake together.

Ingredients for Grandma’s Apple Cake

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3.5 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 3 apples (about 3 medium apples)
  • 1 cup apricot jam
  • 1/2 packet baking powder (8 grams)
  • to taste powdered sugar (for decoration)

What you need to prepare the Apple Cake with Jam

  • Mixer
  • Baking Pan

How to prepare the Apple Cake with Jam

  • Clean the apples. Cut half into small cubes and the rest into thin slices. Beat the 2 whole eggs with the sugar using an electric mixer for about 8 minutes until you have a light and fluffy mixture. Add the melted butter and milk. Mix.

  • Add the sifted flour and baking powder and mix well. Add the diced apples to the batter and simply mix with a spatula to incorporate them. Grease or line a rectangular baking pan with parchment paper, mine measures 8.5 x 11 inches.

  • Pour the batter into the pan, leveling it with the spatula. Arrange the apple slices on top, letting them sink slightly into the batter. Use a teaspoon to distribute small dollops of apricot jam on the surface among the apple slices.

  • Bake the Apple Cake with Jam in the preheated static oven at 350°F for about 35-40 minutes. Always perform the toothpick test to check the cake’s doneness inside. Let it cool before removing it from the pan and decorate it as desired with powdered sugar.
