Ingredients for Puff Pastries with Figs

  • 1 roll puff pastry (rectangular)
  • 10.6 oz figs
  • 6.35 oz ricotta
  • 2.8 oz sugar
  • 1.06 oz walnut kernels
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • as needed powdered sugar (for decoration)

How to prepare Puff Pastries with Figs and Ricotta

  • Wash the figs. Without peeling, just cut off the stem and base. Then cut them in half and then into 3 parts. Mix the ricotta with the sugar and a pinch of cinnamon in a bowl.

  • Roll out a rectangular roll of puff pastry on the work surface and cut it into 9 rectangles. My rectangles measure 3 x 4.7 inches. Spread a generous tablespoon of ricotta cream on each rectangle.

  • Place the fig slices on the ricotta. Add the walnut kernels in small pieces and decorate with some brown sugar. Fold the puff pastry all around.

  • Place the puff pastries with figs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake them in a preheated oven at 374°F in static mode for 20-25 minutes. Let them cool slightly and sprinkle with some powdered sugar if desired.
