The Apple cake I want to tell you about today is a simple and very good dessert to prepare. This is the recipe my mom always made. Just imagine the delicious aroma that filled my entire house for a moment as I took my Apple Cake out of the oven. I added cinnamon, which I love in desserts, and plenty of soft raisins, which go perfectly with apples. A soft and very tender dessert special for a wonderful breakfast, but also for a snack or any time of the day when you want a sweet treat. Ingredients for the Soft Apple Cake
- 2 eggs
- 4.2 oz sugar
- 1.1 lbs apples
- 1.5 cups flour
- 2.1 oz raisins
- 3.5 tbsp butter (melted)
- 1 jar plain natural yogurt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 packet baking powder (8 grams)
- to taste powdered sugar (for decoration)
What you need to prepare the Soft Apple Cake

How to prepare the Apple Cake with Raisins
Peel and clean the apples. Cut half into cubes and the rest into thin slices. Place the raisins in a bowl with hot water and let them soften. Beat the 2 whole eggs with the sugar using an electric mixer for 7-8 minutes until you have a light and frothy mixture.
Add the melted butter and plain yogurt to the eggs and mix. Continue the preparation by adding the sifted flour and baking powder. Mix well.
Finish the preparation by adding the diced apples, cinnamon, and 2/3 of the well-drained raisins. Simply mix them into the batter with a spatula. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Pour the batter into a 20 cm diameter mold, preferably with a removable springform, greased or lined with parchment paper. Arrange the apple slices on the surface, letting them sink slightly into the batter. Distribute the remaining raisins on the surface.
Bake the Apple and Raisin Cake in the preheated oven in static mode for 35-40 minutes. Always do the “toothpick test” to check the doneness of the cake inside. Let it cool before removing it from the mold onto a serving plate and decorate it as desired with powdered sugar.
