Thanks to the use of oat flour, seed oil, and brown sugar, this version is lighter and higher in fiber than the traditional recipe.
The fresh cherries, rich in antioxidants and vitamins, provide an irresistible taste and a natural touch of sweetness. The crumble is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures.

Ingredients for the Vegan Cherry Crumble
- 4 cups cherries (pitted)
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 1/2 cup almonds (ground into flour)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons seed oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Procedure for Preparing the Vegan Cherry Crumble
The steps are really simple:
Mix in a bowl the 2 flours of oat and almonds, add the cinnamon and sugar, and stir with a wooden spoon while adding the tablespoons of oil.
This will create a crumbly mixture.
Arrange the pitted cherries at the bottom of the pan ensuring to overlap them as little as possible and cover with the mixture obtained from the previous ingredients.
Decorate as desired, I placed a couple of whole cherries in the center.
Bake in a fan oven for about half an hour at 350°F, or until golden.
Tips and Variants
I recommend letting it cool well before tasting it if you don’t want to burn yourself, even though it’s hard to wait.
You can serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
This crumble lends itself to many variants: you can substitute cherries with strawberries, apples, pears, or figs, depending on your taste or the season.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I prepare the crumble in advance and store it?
Absolutely yes! The vegan cherry crumble can be perfectly stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days in an airtight container. If you want to enjoy it warm, you just need to reheat it for a few minutes in the oven or microwave to make it crunchy and fragrant again. Alternatively, you can freeze it: simply bake it, let it cool completely, and place it in the freezer for up to 2 months. Perfect for always having a healthy dessert ready to enjoy! 🍒✨
