Ingredients for Quick Puff Pastry Snacks
- 1 sheet puff pastry (rectangular)
- 4 oz spinach, cooked, boiled
- 2/3 cup cream cheese (such as Philadelphia)
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 3.5 oz cooked ham
- 5.3 oz scamorza cheese (in slices)
- 4 tbsp milk (for brushing)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
How to prepare the Puff Pastry Rolls
Chop the cooked spinach with the help of a mixer. Mix in a bowl the cream cheese with the spinach, a pinch of salt, the nutmeg, and the grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on the work surface and divide it in half. Spread half of the puff pastry with the spinach cream.
Spread the tomato sauce on the other half of the puff pastry. Cover with slices of cooked ham and then with slices of scamorza or other soft, melty cheese. Using the parchment paper, roll the two sheets to form two rolls.
Cut several slices about 3/4 inch wide. Arrange the Puff Pastry Swirls side by side on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush them with milk and decorate with sesame seeds. Bake the super quick snacks in a preheated oven at 375°F in static mode for 20 minutes.

Loredana’s Tips
If you prepare them in advance, you can store them in a container in the fridge for one day or you can freeze them. You just need to reheat them for a few minutes in the hot oven or microwave to make them crispy as freshly baked.
If you prefer, you can change the filling according to your tastes and creativity.
You can replace the cream cheese with ricotta and the cooked ham with speck or salami.
