A typical recipe from the Sicilian countryside where fresh sheep cheese or tuma is featured in many recipes.
Peppers have many qualities, including being low in calories, depending on the variety, between 20 and 30 per 100 grams.
There are about 200 mg of potassium and 12 mg of magnesium; besides vitamin C, B vitamins are present; red peppers are very rich in beta-carotene (even over 1600 micrograms per 100 grams).
They are a suitable side dish after a meat or fish dish.
They are best enjoyed cold or at room temperature.
