- Preparation time: 30 Minutes
- Portions: 14 Pieces
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: Epiphany, All Seasons
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 1/3 tbsp milk
- 2 1/2 oz chocolate
- colored sprinkles
- Nutella®
Steps
Prepare the basic oil shortcrust pastry.
Pour the flour into the mixer.
Then add the baking powder, sugar, egg, and oil, start the machine for mixing and add the milk as needed, if more is needed, add it.
The dough should be soft and workable, not sticky.
If you prepare the dough by hand, sift the flour with the baking powder on a work surface, make a well in the center and add the sugar, egg, and oil, and milk if needed.
Then take the shortcrust pastry, close it in a food bag, and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
After the time has elapsed, take the pastry and roll it out on a lightly floured surface to a height of about 1/8 inch.
Then cut out the shortcrust pastry with a donut mold with a diameter of 3 inches and place them on the baking tray covered with parchment paper.
Bake and cook in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 15 minutes, until the shortcrust is golden.
Meanwhile, melt the chocolate in a double boiler with a little milk, just a tablespoon is enough.
Then remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool slightly, while the melted chocolate is ready.
Dip half of the cookies in the chocolate and place them on a plate, decorate with chocolate sprinkles and place them on a plate.
Put the plate in the fridge so the chocolate solidifies faster.
Once ready, fill them with nutella and pair them up, you can also leave them as they are, without filling.
The cookies are ready to be enjoyed.
Bon appétit
