Start preparing the Christmas Nutellotti by mixing the hazelnut spread and the egg with an electric whisk for a couple of minutes.
Add the flour by passing it through a sieve first.
Start mixing first with a spatula and then with your hands.Transfer the dough to a floured work surface and compact it with your hands.
Place the dough in a food bag or wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes. After half an hour, take the dough out of the fridge.
Portion it by forming balls of about 20g each.Roll each ball in colored sugars and place it on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Flatten each dough ball with your fingers or the back of a teaspoon to create an indent.
Place a teaspoon of hazelnut spread in each indent.
Bake the cookies in a static oven at 338°F (170°C) for 10-12 minutes. Don’t worry if they are still soft.
Remove from the oven and place a colored sprinkle on each cookie.Place the cookies on a cooling rack: they will harden just right as they cool.
The Christmas Nutellotti are ready for your snack or to be gifted to friends and family!
