Ingredients for Orange Turkey Bites
- 21 oz Turkey breast
- 1 orange (untreated)
- 1 golden onion
- 1 sprig rosemary
- flour
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt
- black pepper
Tools
- 1 Pan
- 1 Plate
- Citrus juicer
- Mezzaluna
Preparation of Orange Turkey Bites
Wash the orange and peel off strips of zest with a zester, then squeeze the juice.
Cut the turkey breast into fairly regular bites, coat them in flour, and shake off the excess.
Peel the onion and slice it thinly.
Chop the needles of a rosemary sprig. I used a mezzaluna.
In a large pan, soften the onion over low heat with a few tablespoons of oil and a few tablespoons of water.
Then add the floured turkey bites, season with rosemary, and brown on all sides for 6/7 minutes, stirring frequently.
Lower the heat, salt and pepper to taste, and continue cooking for about 15 minutes.
At this point, pour the orange juice into the pan and let it thicken for a few minutes.
When cooking is complete, adjust the salt if necessary.
Transfer the orange turkey bites to the serving dish, decorate with some rosemary needles and orange zest strips, and serve hot. Enjoy! Paola
