Orange Plumcake with Whole Wheat Flour

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • zest of 2 oranges
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 orange juice
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

Steps

  • Let’s start by putting oil, sugar, and a pinch of salt in a bowl and beat with an electric whisk.

    Add the orange zest, eggs, and continue beating until the mixture is fluffy and frothy.

  • Add the orange juice and flours to the mixture

  • Now we can incorporate the baking powder into the dough.

    Butter and flour a mold and place our mixture inside.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for the first 10 minutes, then lower to 350°F for 20-25 minutes.

  • Once baked, prepare the orange glaze.
    Put the powdered sugar in a bowl and gradually add the juice, stirring until a fluid cream forms.
    Brush the plumcake with this delicious glaze, which will make it even softer in the following days 😉
