Fried Cod
An appetizer that is never missing on tables on Christmas Eve, at lunch, or for the New Year’s Eve dinner. Cod is very prized and sought after, and it is used a lot during this period. Moreover, it can be prepared in many ways such as: Creamed Cod, the classic Cod with Potatoes and Olives, etc. Fried cod is very simple to prepare: just desalinate and hydrate it well, then flour and fry it for a few minutes in hot oil. Of course, it should be served immediately ☺️

The longest part of this recipe is the time to rehydrate and desalinate. So we cut it into pieces, remove the salt with a brush, and place the pieces in a resealable container filled with water.
Place in the fridge for 2/3 days, changing the water twice a day. After 2/3 days, drain it well then flour each piece individually. Remove the excess flour
Cook in hot oil for a few minutes on both sides. As soon as they’re ready, place them on absorbent paper and continue with all. If you need to fry a large quantity, I recommend changing the oil after 2/3 uses.
Enjoy your meal!
