These Christmas bread crostini in the shape of trees or stars are truly delightful; perfect for enhancing and making the holiday table even more appetizing. Obviously, they can be made in any other shape, adapting to various occasions and celebrations. Other advantages: they are very easy and quick to make and can also be prepared in advance because they are good both hot (freshly baked) and a few hours later. Sometimes it takes very little to create something cute, don’t you agree with me?

Preparation of Christmas Bread Crostini
Cut the slices of sandwich bread using Christmas-themed cookie cutters. To minimize scraps, use stars of various sizes, even small ones are perfect.
Gradually arrange the crostini obtained this way on the baking tray lined with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix extra virgin olive oil with a generous pinch of salt and brush all the crostini.
Then sprinkle the crostini with oregano and paprika or with the spices you prefer.
Bake the Christmas bread crostini in a preheated static oven at 356°F for 13/15 minutes or until golden brown.
As I mentioned in my introduction, they are delicious warm, but also great at room temperature eaten hours later. This allows you to prepare them in advance. Enjoy! Paola
And with the sandwich bread scraps? You wouldn’t think of throwing them away, would you? Use them to make panko bread crumbs, perfect for achieving crispy and jagged coatings. Find the recipe by clicking HERE.
