Ingredients

  • 12 Pleurotus mushrooms
  • to taste salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 3.5 oz cooked ham
  • 3.5 oz fontina cheese
  • 3.5 oz breadcrumbs
  • 3.5 oz all-purpose flour

Tools

  • 1 Baking Pan
  • Parchment Paper

Steps

  • Clean the mushrooms well with a paper towel

  • Beat the eggs in a bowl

  • Add salt and pepper.

  • Place a generous slice of ham and fontina on each mushroom

  • Close with another mushroom

  • Do the same with the other mushrooms until they’re finished

  • First pass the cordons in the flour

  • then in the egg

  • and then in the breadcrumbs

  • Place on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper drizzled with olive oil

  • Season with extra virgin olive oil and bake in a preheated fan oven at 356°F for 20/25 minutes

If desired, you can bread them and dip them in the egg twice: first in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs, and then again egg and breadcrumbs.
