An autumn dessert made with chestnuts and chestnut flour that we can enjoy at any time! The fritters are very simple to prepare!

*ATTENTION in the video at minute 0:25 I wrote “we add the egg, the oil, the milk” but I made a mistake because there is no oil.

Ingredients for Chestnut Fritters:

  • 1/2 cup chestnut flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • to taste powdered sugar
  • vegetable oil
  • orange zest
  • 1/3 cup chestnuts
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Steps

The preparation of chestnut fritters is very simple, watch the video HERE.

  • In a bowl, put the flours, baking powder, a little orange zest, and mix. Add the egg and milk.

  • Stir together. Add the cleaned chestnuts and mix. Heat the oil well and add a small amount of batter at a time using two spoons, and let it cook for a few minutes.

  • Turn them, then drain and place them on absorbent paper. Continue this way until all the batter is used up. Dust with powdered sugar while still warm.

  • Enjoy your meal!
