Air Fryer Bell Peppers

Have you ever tried making bell peppers in an air fryer? In just a few minutes, you get a delicious and tasty side dish. Today I want to show you how I usually prepare them. I assure you that if I’m not quick to grab my share, I always risk ending up with nothing. No need to mention that the recipe is very simple, right?

Air Fryer Bell Peppers
  • Difficulty: Very Easy
  • Cost: Cheap
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 2 people
  • Cooking methods: Air Frying
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Spring, Summer, and Fall

Ingredients for Air Fryer Bell Peppers

I suggest doubling the quantities and making a double batch because they disappear quickly.

  • 5.3 oz red and yellow bell peppers (weight after trimming)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Grana Padano (or Parmesan – about 0.18 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon fine cornmeal (about 0.18 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • black pepper

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • Air Fryer

Preparation of Air Fryer Bell Peppers

  • Clean the bell peppers by removing the stem and all seeds and white inner filaments. Then wash them, pat dry with a kitchen towel, and slice them into strips.

  • Transfer them into a bowl and season with a tablespoon of oil, a generous pinch of salt, and a generous grind of black pepper.

  • Then add a tablespoon of grated cheese and a tablespoon of fine cornmeal. Mix well to evenly coat all the peppers.

  • Meanwhile, turn on the air fryer to a temperature of 356°F and start preheating it. If you don’t have one and wish to purchase it, I show you mine, which you can find by clicking HERE.

  • Line the basket with the appropriate paper, spread the peppers in a single layer, and cook them at 356°F for 15 minutes, stirring halfway through.

  • The air fryer bell peppers are ready. Serve them immediately, piping hot. Enjoy! Paola
