Pork chops with peaches are a tasty and easy-to-make main course.
Pork meat works well with fruit, and often we find recipes with pork and apples, but being summer, this time I wanted to pair pork chops with a more seasonal fruit, namely peaches.
I cooked the pork chops in a somewhat sweet and sour way, as my mom used to do, because they have a fresher and more exciting taste that way.

Ingredients for Pork Chops with Peaches
- 4 pork chops (with bone, weighing about 7 oz each)
- 2 peaches (nectarines)
- 3 leaves sage
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 0.7 oz butter
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
- to taste flour
Preparation of Pork Chops with Peaches
To prepare pork chops with peaches, heat the oil and butter in a large skillet.
Flour the pork chops and brown them well on both sides, adding the sage leaves. Salt and also add the sugar and vinegar, letting them flavor for a couple of minutes.
Remove the meat from the skillet and in the same skillet cook the peaches cut into wedges without removing the skin. After a minute, remove the peaches and put the pork chops back in the skillet. Cover with a lid and cook over low heat for 8 minutes.
In the last minute, put the peach wedges back in the skillet, turning them gently so as not to mash the fruit.
Serve the pork chops with peaches hot, accompanied by their gravy.
